Tutor Table Specification
Table ConstructionTOPS: Rectangular, half round and trapezoid tops are constructed for light weight and durability. The core is fabricated of a hardwood perimeter frame and paper celled honeycomb onto which a balanced substrate of wood and high pressure laminate and backer are bonded. The bridges are constructed of particle board surfaced with a .050" high pressure laminate and a .045" phenolic backing sheet. All tops and bridges feature a molded urethane edge which is chemically bonded to the core or substrate. The front leading edge is gently angled to reduce fatigue. All edges are resilient, self sealing and resist impact and abrasion.BASE: The base is constructed of light weight die cast aluminum legs connected by a traversly oriented 22 ga. formed steel beam. The legs are mechanically secured to piano hinges which are vertically located at the ends of the beam. The orientation of the hinges allow for the legs to fold and store flat against the inside face of the beam. The table top is mounted to three horizontally placed piano hinges at the top of the beam. The top folds over the stowed legs and easily latches to the beam. Folded, the table may be picked up and carried. Standard Wire/Cable ManagementComputer or communication cable is managed within a vertical cavity of the leg. The cavity is accessed through a hinged sheet metal door common to each leg. The wire or cable enters or exits the door through ports at the top and bottom of the door assembly. Wire management clips are located on the underside of the table forward of the beam.Beam Wire ManagerAdditional wire and communication cables can be stored and routed within the optional beam wire manager. The beam wire manager is attached to the traverse base beam by sheet metal tabs and spring loaded latches. The formed steel door panel of the beam wire manager opens to provide full access to expanded wire management capacity. A trough at the bottom of the beam wire manager is designed to accommodate an optional plug strip or a modular wire system. Communication and computer cables may be segregated by specifying the communication "V" channel. Wire hangers can also be specified for the storage of excess wires.Gallery Wire ManagerExcess wire may be neatly stored at the table top where the gallery wire manager is specified. The 22 ga. formed steel panel is hinged to allow free access to the wire trough. The gallery wire manager is attached to the traverse base beam by spring loaded latches and is further secured between the underside of the table top and the top of the traverse base beam, The gallery wire manager also functions as a screen which hides the rear of electronic equipment. An acoustical foam sound barrier may be specified for the gallery.NOTES: Specify either the beam wire manager or the gallery wire manager. They cannot be used together. Table TransporterThe chassis is constructed of 2" x 2" welded steel angle iron. The accessory racks are constructed of 1-1/4" dia. x 14 ga. steel tubing. Four hard rubber, 6" dia. casters are used to enhance mobility two casters swivel and two are stationary. The transporter is designed to hold 8 tables (42" or 60" widths) 8 beam wire managers and or gallery wire managers, 8 large bridges, and 16 or more universal connectors. Available in black only.Accessories/Options
Universal ConnectorEnd-to-end table connections or table-to-bridge connections are accomplished by using the universal connector. The connector is fabricated of die cast aluminum for strength. Fastened to the die cast connector is an injection moided polycarbonate spring for ganging. The universal connector is designed to be snap locked into place and removed without the use of tools. Available in black only.Table ColorsPlastic Laminate Selections:Formica
