Users Investing in Training/Management Development

Businesses and institutions around the world are recognizing the value of their human resources ... and creating learning and communication environments for employee development. As a result, more facility space is devoted to training, seminar, and meeting applications.

Growing Needfor Multi-Purpose Rooms

In order to maximize the investment in spaces for group learning and communications, facility managers are requiring multi-purpose rooms that can easily be arranged and rearranged for training, seminars, meetings, and even special functions. Furnishings must be as flexible as the space.

Growing Need to Accommodate Computer/A/V Technologies

More and more, computer and audio-visual technologies are employed for training, seminar and meeting purposes. These group work-spaces must now be able to accommodate technology as well as the personal workstation environment. The furniture must facilitate technology use.

Growing Need to Improve Information Display

Effective group learning and communications environments are also dependent on the ability to write, display, and project information to all participants.

Design Rationale

Tutor Table System Concept

Tutor Table is based on the following design criteria:
  • Provide the maximum in table configuration options with a minimum of system parts/pieces.
  • Achieve the aesthetics of a custom installation, using standard system components.
  • Permit the ease of configuration/rearrangement, without the need for tools.
  • Allow tables to be folded/stored when not in use.
  • Improve wire/cable management capabilities.

Tutor Track System Concept

Tutor Track is based on the following design criteria:
  • Provide a complete system, with interchangeable components, to accommodate all types of information display.
  • Design a system to accept double mounting of tracks on walls, to increase display capacity.
  • Design a system to accept mounting of components diagonally at room corners, in addition to flat walls.
  • Improve the ability of projection screens in the system to receive projected images from LCD and Video output.
  • Provide for the option of a screen/board to permit writing and projection on the same surface.
  • Incorporate system components to hold A/V equipment.
